About the course

Intercultural Training for exchangees (teens) on long-term programs (PART 1/3)
In this 3-part course, within 9 modules you will discover innovative tools to understand your life abroad, how your behavior and perception of the world can influence your adaptation and how to interact with people from a new culture. How can your attitude be a decisive factor in the success or failure of your experience? And what will your family be like while you are there? How can everyone's involvement affect the exchange journey?
This training will help you create healthier and more lasting relationships throughout your international experience, based on a deep understanding of the behavior and culture of the countries you will visit, as well as your own behavior during your migration experience. You will also learn to identify what to expect from people there, how they think, act and react, and how to adapt your approach in a practical and intelligent way.
Each part of the training gives you a glimpse of important knowledge and understanding, but only the full experience unlocks the complete picture. To truly master cultural adaptation, watching all 3 parts is essential.
In this first part you’ll understand what is intercultural competence, how it can assist you during your stay abroad, what is the emotional state of someone moving abroad, and how this can affect the success or risk factors of the program. In this module, reflect on the foundational aspects of having a successful experience and be surprised by the importance of the relationships between those going, those staying, those receiving, and those sending in influencing the outcome of your stay.
Available in English audio with options for subtitles in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean.

What makes this course different?
You are about to live an experience that will change your life and your self-concept – but are you really prepared to face it? Our exclusive training is designed for adult students, helping you arrive at your destination ready to adapt, without facing the difficulties of “culture shock”. We will work together to avoid cultural traps and ensure that you enjoy each interaction and moment of your journey in a meaningful and enriching way.
With a practical and dynamic approach, the course teaches effective strategies to deal with real challenges in the daily life of an exchange student. Using Intercultural Sciences (Intercultural Psychology & Intercultural Education), we will deepen your experience so that it is more fluid, without wasting time with unnecessary adaptations. Our goal is for you to not only travel to see the world outside, but to be able to see (and understand) the immense world within you, which will transform from that.
