Intercultural Training for exchangees (teens) on long-term programs (PART 3/3)
Culture shock seems to be the main fear for those moving abroad. This is due to the emotional distance we have with other cultures. In this last part we will deeply explore concepts that explain the behaviors of people—both yours and those of others—to help you understand your host country better even before you depart. After all, the success of your stay relies on your preparation before you embark.

You are about to live an experience that will change your life and your self-concept – but are you really prepared to face it? Our exclusive training is designed for adult students, helping you arrive at your destination ready to adapt, without facing the difficulties of “culture shock”. We will work together to avoid cultural traps and ensure that you enjoy each interaction and moment of your journey in a meaningful and enriching way.
With a practical and dynamic approach, the course teaches effective strategies to deal with real challenges in the daily life of an exchange student. Using Intercultural Sciences (Intercultural Psychology & Intercultural Education), we will deepen your experience so that it is more fluid, without wasting time with unnecessary adaptations. Our goal is for you to not only travel to see the world outside, but to be able to see (and understand) the immense world within you, which will transform from that.
- Graduated in Psychology, Masters in Social Psychology (1995)
- Volunteer at ICYE as a member of UNESCO and by UN designated as “Peace Messengers” (1993-1994)
- Intercultural Education Training by the European Council (1994)
- IACCP Member (International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology) since 1998
- Tutor and Guest Speaker at MIT about Cultural Awareness since 2021
- Member of the Educational Advisory Council at AFS International that promotes the Training for Trainers in countries like Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela and Costa Rica (2006-2012)
- Long and short term experiences abroad in Spain (Madrid), Italy (Rome) and Belgium (Louvain-la-Neuve) (1990-1996), United States (2008), France (2023) and Canada (2012, 2017, 2024, 2025)
