About the course

Intercultural Sciences for a New Era of Academic Counseling
How do you relate to your teenagers around the world in the face of the dramatic changes that society is undergoing? If there were new tools that could facilitate your relationships with them and among them, would you be willing to learn about them?
School counselors play a fundamental role in the future careers of their students and, therefore, in the success of students who embark on an international experience. But how can they prepare them for the cultural and migratory challenges involved in studying abroad? How can they also improve their communication skills with their foreign students? Our intercultural training enables these professionals to understand and anticipate the main difficulties faced by students and their families, including offering strategic support to help them understand that studying abroad involves living abroad - and students do not always recognize this dyad.
Available in English audio with options for subtitles in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean.

What makes this course different?
With a practical and results-oriented approach, the course brings valuable insights from Intercultural Sciences (Intercultural Psychology & Intercultural Education), helping school counselors understand the migratory experience of a career abroad in a way never thought possible before. There are almost 130 mental categories that shape the psyche of each people and, as a school counselor who is constantly involved with different cultures, disregarding this knowledge means leaving aside important tools for your career and those you aim to help. The goal is to provide more assertive and effective support, ensuring that students get the most out of the experience – and that schools reinforce their reputation for excellence in supporting education.
