Intercultural Sciences for a new era: international students or intercultural exchangee?
Our market has undergone dramatic changes in recent years. We all know this. We use old models to solve new problems that surprise us with their complexity and which solutions we still do not know. Families are more dysfunctional and have ever-increasing demands. Young people are struggling with the social skills needed for migration, students diagnosed with all kinds of mental disorders, and the use of psychiatric medication is increasing. As a consequence, the mental health and well-being of exchange professionals are also suffering. So, how can you relate to your client in light of the speed of transformation that our society is facing? In this course, we present Intercultural Sciences and how they affect your client during migration - and most importantly, how this is affecting you, your well-being at work, and the results of your business.
In this course, you will discover new and revolutionary tools for understanding your clients and helping you create a healthier and more sustainable relationship throughout your journey abroad. What makes this course different?
Offering an exchange program goes far beyond the logistics of travel and enrollment – it’s about transforming lives. But to ensure that this experience is truly successful, it is essential that companies and their professionals have solid knowledge of Intercultural Psychology. After all, adaptation, emotional well-being and intercultural competence cannot be treated as secondary issues, but rather as structural pillars of any international mobility program.
Our training was developed for those who work directly with exchange students in high school programs, undergraduate programs abroad, language courses and others. The approach is practical and strategic, enabling teams to prevent and manage emotional and intercultural challenges that directly impact the success of the experience, equipping them for better sales and post-departure relationships.
When this knowledge is part of the company culture, exchange programs become more effective, clients have more positive experiences and the company strengthens its reputation in the market. Because successful exchanges don’t happen by chance – they require preparation, understanding and the right tools.

- Member of the Educational Advisory Council at AFS International that promotes the Training for Trainers in countries like Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela and Costa Rica (2006-2012)
- Long and short term experiences abroad in Spain (Madrid), Italy (Rome) and Belgium (Louvain-la-Neuve) (1990-1996), United States (2008), France (2023) and Canada (2012, 2017, 2024, 2025)
